Garden 2.0 — one living, explorable garden

v1.7.0

The biggest garden update yet. The starlit garden is no longer split across separate Map and Focus tabs — it is now one continuous scene you explore directly, tapping landmarks to see what each one needs and watching finished districts come alive. The rest of the update is a broad stability pass so every session feels solid.

  • The garden is now a single living scene you pan and explore — the old Map and Focus tabs are gone.
  • Tap any landmark to see exactly what it needs to grow next.
  • A golden Next Step guide points you toward your most affordable upgrade.
  • Districts you finish shimmer with their own ambient celebration.
  • An affordable-upgrade badge on the Level Map's garden button shows when a step is within reach.
  • The whole garden is now fully VoiceOver accessible.
  • A new gemgame://garden deep link jumps straight to the garden.
  • Stability pass across saves, input handling, and board visuals.

Garden polish & reward flow

v1.0.1

The first update after launch focuses on the celestial garden hub and on making sure every finished level reliably shows its result, so progressing from one level to the next stays smooth.

  • Rebuilt the Garden hub with clearer navigation and richer landmark art.
  • Added safeguards so completed runs always show the win or retry result.
  • Fixed a reward-claim edge case where tapping Continue could stay on the completed level.
  • Tightened gameplay result handling for smoother level-to-level progression.

Initial App Store release

v1.0 Launch

The version that started it all: GemGame arrived on the App Store as a complete, cozy match 3 puzzle game with a starlit garden to restore and plenty of live-ops to keep coming back to. The whole feature set landed in this first release.

  • Handcrafted match 3 levels with score, collect, and clear goals and a 1-3 star rating.
  • The garden restoration meta-layer, where you spend stars to rebuild celestial districts.
  • Daily rewards to claim each time you return.
  • The Celestial Pass reward track with free and premium ladders.
  • Mission contracts for extra goals and rewards.
  • The booster shop, stocking the Hint, Hammer, Shuffle, and Extra Moves power-ups.
  • Game Center leaderboards and achievements.
